Sunfish are one of the stranger fish we see occasionally. Often mistaken for a sick dolphin or even a bin-liner these denizens lie on their sides at the surface, soaking up the sun. While more normally seen outside the Outer Hebrides we have seen these between Mull and Coll, and suspect we saw one off Castle Duart but are not sure. like all fish these are hard to photograph but these pics give an idea of what to look for. |
